Tax bills to be mailed out Monday, July 6
Payment is due in two installments:
- First installment: July 30
- Second installment: September 28
Pay from your phone by using the "pay a bill" feature in your banking app.

Paper water and tax bills now have a $2 fee. The next tax bill will be mailed out Monday, July 6.

Council received exciting news that we can finally share publicly:
Mississippi Mills will be receiving $3,315,592.80 from the Canada Mortgage Housing Corporation’s (CMHC) Housing Accelerator Fund!
Please be advised that sanitary sewer lining works will take place on Farm Street (from Almonte Street to Charles Street) on Tuesday, February 4.
Since the last public update on December 16, 2024 when two-way traffic was reinstated, progress continues to be made on stabilization works at 38 Main Street East.
In an ongoing effort to renew relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in the community, Mississippi Mills Council held their annual Land Acknowledgement Ceremony during the January 28, 2025 meeting.
Last night’s Council meeting began with the Annual Land Acknowledgement and Smudging Ceremony. Since 2020, Mississippi Mills Council has held this ceremony at the start of each year to reestablish relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in the community.
TAKE NOTICE that the County of Lanark and the following municipalities within the County of Lanark intend to pass a by-law under the authority of the Municipal Act, 2001 and Ontario Regulation 586/06: Local Improvement Charges – Priority Lien Status, to implement the Better Homes Lanark (BHL) program.
Paramedic services across Southeastern Ontario and the Kingston Central Ambulance Communications Centre will implement a new system for 9-1-1 calls on Wednesday, February 5.
